What type of data work do you do and what laptop do you use to support that? Does your laptop handle the type of work you do?

This is a great video and it introduced me to your channel. Thanks a lot. It brought up a few thoughts for me: first of all, you discussed a bit about servers, but how to you feel about remote desktops connections to normal desktop PCs when that extra processing power is needed? I was thinking of setting up a 16-core 5950X PC for those situations when my laptop is just not enough or when I do not want to tie up my laptop resources for an extended time period. Second thought that came was that this landscape will change a bit when the new Tiger Lake H CPUs and the Zen 3 CPUs reach laptops also as those will both bring a nice single thread and multithread processing boost with probably very decent battery performance.

    Hey there! Great video!
Would a Ryzen 9 be good for data science since it has 70mb cache memory and great single core and also good multi core performance?

For my personal use, I initially bought a Razer blade 15 last year (1080p display, Intel i7 8750H, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD and Nvidia 1070 Ti Max-Q). But its battery sucked (used to get 4-5 hours doing normal stuff), even when doing tasks that don't use the GPU, and for some reason it felt heavier than it should have. So, even though it was a sexy device, I sold it and bought a Dell XPS 15 9570 (1080p display, Intel i7 9750H, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD and Nvidia 1050 Ti Max-Q). It had its typical Dell issues, of updating Windows even when in sleep, and heating issues. But I fixed them by turning auto updates off in bios, and redoing the thermal paste on the CPU. After that, I've had no issues with it in the 8 months I've had it. It gives 8-9 hours of battery doing normal stuff (which means non-gpu machine learning stuff, browsing, Netflix, YouTube, etc).

For work, I have a MacBook pro 16 inch (Intel 9980H octa-core CPU, 2 TB SSD, and AMD 5500M GPU, which isn't useful in deep learning coz it's not Nvidia).

The problem with the Carbon series is that they don't have an Nvidia Graphics card. And it is impossible to adjust the colors of the screen without an nvidia graphics card. The options you get with the integrated graphics card on the Carbon series is that you are unable to adjust gamma or contract and other colors of the screen so you are basically stuck with how bright and dim you can adjust the screen, also it is always nice to have an nvidia graphics card just to have it around. I am very interested in the G14 from Asus which can go upto 40GB RAM which is PERFECT for a small factor laptop and also it has the RTX 2060 Graphics card.
