Install Python with Matplotlib, Numpy+MKL, and SciPy

[ad_1]

Updated instructions for Python 3.7: https://youtu.be/bXWlyOMYpRE

The Python base is installed from Python.org on Windows 10. Additional packages are installed with pip using online repositories and offline whl files. This avoids installing SciPy 0.19.1 from source and instead uses pre-compiled Windows packages.

    Thanks very much, it was helpfull, I just installed python and numpy, scipy and matplotlib in the cmd. But when lunching IDLE from windows, and then running a python file, a python shell comes, and no python command works, it seems like IDLE doesn't recognize python !

    This is the error message on the IDLE shell when I type "import numpy as np":

    Traceback (most recent call last):

    File "<pyshell#0>", line 1, in <module>

    import numpy as np

    ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'numpy'

    Can you please help me?

    Isn't numpy (and scipy) already linked with OpenBLAS? There doesn't seem to be much difference with MKL.

    This was most helpful! If you update this you might want to mention that it might simplify the process if you do not use the latest python update! Thanks again for the video.

    Thx4theClip, aweaome, I will probably have done something about it by the time someone answers, I had already installed python and a ide and did not custom install and path it up, I pip installed matplotlib but I get an error message: ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'matplotlib'
    So, shall I install from the beggining ? am not very good working at the terminal, I tried Ubuntu and now I am on windows 10, 64 bits.
    I do not see python available in the Enviroment Variables as you show in your video, probably because I have no created a path.
    Please someone tell me simple basic suff, I am just learning and have ran into so much difficulties already. Thx a lot
